SLAM Maine Loves Rant -- and Rant Loves You!

RANT is making a comeback in its hometown of Ellsworth, Maine! Three original members of the band -- Tony Crossman on drums, Tom Davis on vocals, and Randy Ingraham on guitar -- have teamed up with some new blood, including Todd Damn on bass, Harley Wyeth on guitar, and Eric Osher on keyboards. Their latest single "1,000,000 Voices" has already been featured on 105.1 FM WTOS.

On their MySpace profile, the band describes their sound as, "Music to violently grind your genitals to -OR- A relentless assault delivered straight to your rockhole." We can certainly hear why "things that go whearrrrangg" is listed as one of their influences. My personal favorites are "Unnerving Noises" and "Geppettophile."

While they aren't signed with any record label as of yet, they're gaining popularity at Parker's Bar and Grill in downtown Ellsworth. They've already played two gigs there this year, with several more scheduled for the winter season. Go check 'em out!
